Abstract

The thesis deals with the usage of single-chip computers for the collection of data and control. The aim is to design a general control system, which is easy to use and easy to implement for other laboratory tasks. The performance of control system is limited by the performance of used MCU (PIC 16F873A) and its peripherals (2xPWM, 5xA/D…). The main task of MCU is communication with upper level and implementation of required control action together with data collection. Communication between control system (PC) and MCU is provided by serial interface. In the first step control system defines initialization of MCU (reset needed) for desired laboratory task then continues with the control application. Everything is controlled and monitored from SCADA/HMI system called Control Web. The application is accessible via Internet browser in the local network. Control is implemented from upper level (PID, on-off control) or from a lower level (algorithm of PID is in MCU unit). The student can identify the current system by step response, frequency response or create static characteristic. The application automatically stores every measured data into a local directory of the app. For better understanding of app is also include help with tips (how to use) and references (theory of current problematics).
