Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes design of lifting equipment for underground containers. At first I summarize what the underground containers are, why we build them and which benefits they have. Further part is the structural design which describes how equipment works and its main components. I was thoroughly occupied myself with the drive equipment, where I analysed drive strain, strength check of proposed chain, draft and calculation of the transmission ratio and calculation of the required engine power. Finally, I decided to use suitable electric motor and worm gearbox. I also made some alternative solutions of drive system and I wrote why it should not be chosen for each alternative. The entire equipment is showed in the assembly drawing which is included to the thesis.
