Abstract

This thesis deals with vehicles passive safety. Introduction of this work is focused with areas of vehicles safety. Another part consist legislative provisions dealing with vehicles passive safety and analysis contemporary elements of vehicles passive safety. Furthermore, the work deals with vehicles passive safety tests in individual countries and their comparison. The practical part includes a mathematical model to determine theoretical values of deformation of the nose and deceleration of vehicles non-destructive method. Subsequently, the mathematical model is applied to the selected vehicles. The last step of the work is comparison of the results and passive safety assessment of selected vehicles. The work is accompanied by MS Excel workbook with all the calculated and measured values.
