Abstract
This thesis deals with the use of PLC for control of two asynchronous electric motors, which are connected to two frequency converters of different manufacturers - the ACS355 frequency inverter from ABB and the UniDrive M200 from EMERSON, which are actuators in the control string. The laboratory task with the ACS355 will be used for regulation, where the controlled electric motor has a common shaft with a so-called load electric motor, which is also equipped with a tachometer for measurement of the current speed. The task with the M200 will be used only for controlling, as there is no real feedback for measurement of the electric motor speed. The AC500 (ABB) logic controller provides motor control, process data collection, communication control, and setpoint control. The Control Web 8 environment will be used for the task visualization.
