Abstract

Master thesis is dealing with a mounting of exhaust system into a car body. In the first part are described components of exhaust system and presented todays knowledges about exhaust system mounting. Next part is definition of requirements, that exhaust system has to meet. An analysis of exhaust system mounting is the topic of the next chapter and focuses on a chosen car. Proceeding this, design proposals of the rear exhaust hanger are introduced as well as the technical solutions which meet all specific requirements. The next topic is a virtual evaluation of the chosen technical solution. At the end of the thesis, results of validation are introduced suggesting technical solutions to the rear exhaust hanger and the possibility of using this hanger in a real vehicle is evaluated.
