Analýza pevnosti krátkovláknových kompozitů

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with strength analysis of short fiber composites. In the theoretical part, composite materials are first characterized and classified. Furthermore, the problem of mechanics of composites reinforced with short fibers is explained, mainly the stress distribution in fibers with subcritical and with supercritical length. The last chapter explains the theoretical models that predict the strength of short-fiber composites. The computational part then contains several models which based on the FEM analysis focus on the effect of volume fraction, length, and orientation of fibers on the strength of such a composite. The results are always compared in detail with the results from the FEM analysis, with analytical results and with the results obtained in the experiment.
