Abstract

This thesis deals with the topic of measurement of particulate pollutants. The work is divided into three parts. The first part describes the basic properties of solid pollutants, their origin, classification and fundamental impact on human health. It further describes the basic methods for determination of the mass concentration of particulate pollutants. The next section describes an experimental device that allows to set the reference concentration of particulate matter and can be used to verify the accuracy of measurements for single methods. In the final experimental part of thesis experimental methods of sampling and evaluating of the impact of non-isokinetic sampling for the determination of the mass concentration and mass flow of particulate pollutants are described.
