The bachelor work deals with the idea to increase the service ability of batteries for railway locomotives. In this work are evaluated the lead-acid, gel and nickel-cadmium batteries during operation. Their working conditions, a theoretical method for solutions to keep high availability of the battery for rail locomotives and operationally economic evaluation of the proposal.
