Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a manipulator for the lighting of wind turbine foundations. Based on the specified parameters and consultations with Huisman, a crane with a load capacity of 250 kg, an outreach of 9 m, and a lifting height of 20 m was designed. The thesis includes a research study on manipulators and materials suitable for offshore conditions. Furthermore, the column, support, jib, hoist, and slewing mechanism with drive were designed and verified. Suitable profiles and materials were selected for the main structural parts of the crane. A friction-based slewing drive with a geared motor was chosen, and all key components were verified using strength calculations according to relevant standards. The design was developed in Autodesk Inventor as a 3D model, including technical drawings.
