Abstract

Diploma thesis is focused on the design of an ideal flexible assembly for a decorative frame that covers the vista into the headlight. The theoretical part-written basic rules for the design of flexible joints made of polymer materials and the optimization method is described in ANSYS Workbench 15. In the practical part the static analysis of the original joint is performed, to locate critical points in the original joint. Subsequently the goal driven optimization is performed in order to reduce tension in the joint so as to avoid exceeding the yield point and met all of the requirements of the automotive industry.
