Abstract
Thesis deals with the creation of a structural design of a wedge gate valve for nuclear energy. The introduction describes general characteristics of the wedge gate valve. The original type of the wedge gate valve was subjected to pressure and cyclic tests in authorized testing laboratories, then disassembly and subsequent defectoscopy took place. Defects have been fixed and key components have been modified. The designed wedge gate valve is modified and prepared for further pressure and operational tests, which are essential for the certification of a given type of valve. Control calculations verified the correctness of the proposed slide parameters. The created structural design is documented in the appendix of the thesis.
