3D Reconstruction of CT Scans For Visualization in Virtual Reality
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Tylová, Naďa; Egermaier, Jan; Tomeš, Jakub; Kohout, Jan; Mareš, Jan
Computed tomography allows analyzing the internal structure of an object, which is useful especially in medicine. The standard visualization displays scans in the 2D plane. 3D reconstruction of scans provides a complex image of the morphology of the scanned object. Matlab is a software commonly used for image processing and analysis. It includes Medical Image Processing Toolbox for displaying data from CT scan in DICOM format. However, it is not possible with this toolbox to export the dataset of the image as a 3D object. Therefore, the aim of the paper is the implementation of a toolbox for loading and displaying data as a 3D reconstruction. This toolbox allows the user to export the data in OBJ or STL format. That allows the user (i) to visualize the 3D models in virtual reality and (ii) to prepare the model for 3D printing. The OBJ model is imported to Blender and then exported out with a texture as an object file. In Unity, we created a 3D scene and imported model. The advantage of displaying the 3D model in virtual reality is a more realistic view of the shape and dimension of an object.

Design of CAN Based Smart Motion Sensor
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Pawlenka, Tomáš
The work deals with the design and implementation of smart motion sensor based on MEMS technology for use on high-speed CAN bus. The MEMS MPU-9250 chip with a three-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer was chosen as the sensor. The main goal is to create a plug-and-play smart sensor unit solution with its own measurement and configuration software and with possibility of basic configuration via CAN bus.

Mathematical Models for Optimizing Airline Offerings in Terms of International Regional Public Airports
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Kontriková, Lenka
In recent decades, air transport has become one of the most dynamically developing modes of transport. The number of passengers using air transport is constantly increasing, aircraft technical equipment is improving, and technical and infrastructure support for air transport is being developed. However, the dynamics of traffic development at international airports are not the same. While traffic to major airports in the States is growing rapidly, growth rates are generally very slow at regional airports. Most regional airports are currently trying to create or expand their existing destination portfolio with new scheduled services to transit destinations, from where passengers can continue. The right choice of transit destination is very important for the development of a regional airport, mainly because the demand for transport from a regional airport is growing with the increasing offer of one-way transfer as far as possible around the world. The paper deals with the design of a mathematical model. On the basis of this solution, it is possible to determine the optimal portfolio of transit destinations to which it is appropriate to operate from a given regional airport.

Estimation of Low-Cycle Fatigue Curves of High-Strength and Welded Steel 10CrNi3MoV
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Kráčalík, Michal
In this work is tested applicability of the extended uniform material law for high-strength steel on 10CrNi3MoV steel and its weld. Predicted low-cycle fatigue curves differ significantly from the measurements. Despite the reported scientific effort to predict fatigue properties numerically, results show that strain controlled fatigue tests must be conducted for determination of fatigue properties in the praxis.

Software Tool For Voice Disorder Diagnostics
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Jičínský, Milan; Mareš, Jan
Causes of voice disorders may vary the same way as treatment techniques. Surgical intervention is the most used treatment method. As for not so serious cases, vocal exercises can be efficiently used instead. Still, there are only few methods to find right diagnosis or classify the scale of impact on patient’s voice. Nowadays, it is possible to extract key features (fundamental frequency, sound pressure level and less common such as cepstral coefficients, zero crossing rate or spectral energy) from patient’s speech using state-of-the-art voice processing methods. So, the software called Voice disorder diagnostician was designed. The tool that can store patient’s data and immediately provide the results of analysis.

Simulation of Influence of Transverse Wheel-Set Movement on Torsion Oscillations
(Vysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostrava, 2019) Dybala, Vojtěch; Šulc, Bohumil
With increasing importance of the railway transport the demands on economic and functional features of the railway traffic increase as well. The features are influenced by many factors, whose identification, direct measuring and impact detection are not easy to obtain in the real service. A computational simulation and a roller rig are suitable means, which enable to recognize an amount of physical limitation influences in conjunction with proposed vehicle construction and with supposed surrounding service conditions make everything clear before a vehicle commissioning. Therefore, the Simulink model, focused on the field of research of traction wheel-sets torsion dynamics and an influence of adhesion conditions, was built, has been used and developed within SGS (Student Grant Competition) and PhD study programs. In the past, the model served for investigation of torsion oscillation excited by changes in torque transfer. In this paper we focus on another source of asynchronous peripheral speed of wheels of a wheel-set. It is given by railway vehicle wheel conicity. It will be shown, how the contact circle diameter change influences the torsion load of the wheel-set axle and the load type.
