Supervisor: Ing. Michal Richtář This Bachelor´s thesis is dealing with the effectiveness of the vehicle brake system as a result of wearing down its major components. The thesis describes the construction, operational principle and partition of braking systems. In the practical part of the thesis the brake system´s efficiency is verified for test vehicle before and after replacement major components of the fiction brake system. Hereafter there are set out the legislative requirements for stopping distance and deceleration. The conclusion compares the numerical values with realistic braking distance of the test vehicle during driving tests.
