Abstract
The thesis deals with the use of elemental analysis in the evaluation of lubricants and fuels using the energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer. The first part deals with X-rays and atomic spectrometry. The second part deals with the application of elemental analysis in practice, namely the determination of the amount of S in diesel fuel. Furthermore, it deals with the creation of the calibration dependencies of the elements necessary for the calibration of the spectrometer.
