Abstract
The thesis deals with non-destructive testing of flat-bottom railway rails with ultrasound in the company Třinecké železárny a.s. Editorial presents various methods
of nondestructive testing. Furthermore, the work deals with proposal for methodology
of non-destructive testing using multiple sectional probes such as "Phased Array" and also evaluate advantages and disadvantages compared with conventional probes. For the verification of properties of the probes was used Omniscan MX and samples with natural and artificially created defects. Beside the thesis deals with the selection and setting
of probes designed to control the cross section rails using ESBeamtool software.
