Abstract
The diploma thesis focuses on measurements of dynamic properties of a frame
of formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). The first part explains the theory
of modal analysis and the second one deals with the accomplished experimental modal analysis on the frame of formula. It also describes two implemented measurements,
an impact modal testing and a shaker modal testing. Numerical calculation using a finite element method is introduced for the comparison of results. The last part of the thesis refers possibilities of operational modal analysis. The main goal of the project is finding values of the natural frequencies of the frame and their corresponding mode shapes.
