Optimalizace převodové skříně motocyklu Honda CR500

Abstract

This master’s thesis deals with the optimization of the Honda CR 500R motorcycle gearbox, model years 1988–2001, with the aim of increasing the number of gear ratios from five to six. The thesis includes a review of gear strength design and motorcycle transmission systems, an analysis of the original gearbox, and the design of a new six-speed variant. The proposal includes the determination of new gear ratios, the design of gear geometry, structural modifications of gearbox components, and a strength calculation of the optimized gearing. In the final part, the proposed solution is evaluated in terms of transmission properties, gear safety factors, structural feasibility, and manufacturing complexity. The thesis also includes assembly drawings of the original and optimized gearbox.
