Abstract

The dissertation focuses on noise reduction of belt conveyor tracks using sound reduction cassettes placed on the idler holder. The article describes these polyurethane cassettes, how their development progressed and what effect have design, the method of attachment, and especially the hardness of the material (Shore) on the noise level, up to the final design. For the established method of noise measurement, a test bench was constructed, on which the damping effects of these damping cassettes were measured. The soundproofing cassettes must also stand up from an economic point of view and from a lifetime point of view, so that they can be put into the market in the future.
