Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of an automatic sorting bar for a belt conveyor workstation equipped with an IRB 360 robot. The aim of the thesis is to develop a constructional solution ensuring reliable diversion of unpicked objects from the main conveyor to a return system. The thesis includes an analysis of the existing workstation and a review of available object sorting technologies. Based on the acquired knowledge, several design variants were proposed and gradually optimized into the final solution. Furthermore, the thesis addresses the drive design, verification of torque transmission, and strength analysis of selected components. The result of the thesis is a functional design of an automatic sorting bar meeting the requirements for simplicity of construction, easy assembly, and reliable operation.
