Reverzní navržení historického motocyklového karburátoru

Abstract

This master’s thesis deals with the design of the historical Schebler DLX-50 carburetor using reverse engineering methods. The thesis includes research on the carburetor, assessment of the technical condition of the preserved unit, material analysis of selected components using the ED-XRF method, creation of 3D models using 3D scanning and conventional measurement methods, and preparation of technical drawing documentation. The thesis also includes flow analysis in the Ansys CFX environment and an assessment of the possibilities for manufacturing selected parts with regard to preserving their original design and material character. The result of the thesis is a set of documents applicable to the documentation, restoration, and possible reproduction of the historical carburetor in the form of NB-type new production, i.e. New Build.
