Abstract
This dissertation thesis deals with an active mechanical vibration control. This thesis works with a laboratory model of steel cantilevered beam. A corresponding mathematical model for a laboratory test rig is derived. It enables the implementation in a computing tool and to test beam’s behaviour in MATLAB – Simulink environment. This mathematical model enables to securely design and test a control algorithm and then use this algorithm in a real laboratory model. Active vibration control of non-collocated system is solved with an algorithm that suppresses more than one of vibration modes. Piezoelectric materials are widely used in both sensors and actuators.
