Jaromír Široký, Ph.D. The aim of this master thesis is the development of an interactive simulation tool for the analysis of lateral dynamics and stability of railway vehicles during curve negotiation. The theoretical part defines models of uncompensated lateral acceleration, the influence of the center of gravity height, and suspension flexibility on the vehicle's effective support base. The practical output is a program in Microsoft Excel (VBA), divided into modules for conventional vehicles and vehicles with active body tilting. The developed software enables interactive parameter changes in real time, dynamically plots the comfort envelope, and features a function for evaluating limit states. Upon exceeding the critical speed or limiting cant, the program interrupts the simulation and visualizes the crash consequences, making the tool beneficial for didactic purposes and stability assessment.
