The main theme of the bachelor thesis is the adjustment design of the transfer point of mining belt conveyors in order to reduce dust nuisance. The first chapter describes the conveyor belts as such and their design solutions in the underground mines environment. Next chapter discusses the types of transfer point, their technical solution and problems which can occur during the application. The third chapter summarizes information about dust and dust nuisance. It talks about what dust is, how it accrues, what are its characteristics and effects. At the end of the chapter the topic of the dust elimination and dust reduction is analysed. I have chosen the method of the transfer point sealing in order to eliminate dust occurrence. The design contains only bottom of the transfer point of the belt conveyor. It includes the proposed solution and design which is sealing of the transfer point by using the impact bed with conveyor impact bars. The whole impact bed is covered and sealed completely. To seal the impact bed I have chosen a longitudinal double-acting seal which has good sealing qualities. It catches dust and it doesn’t increase abrasion of the conveyor belt.
