Abstract
The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the analysis of current technological trends and European Union projects in the field of robotics for critical environments, with an emphasis on the sectors of energy, mining, and emergency and rescue operations. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical background of robotics in critical environments, including the basic principles and classification of robotic systems. Subsequently, the methodology for selecting projects from the CORDIS database within the Horizon Europe programme is described, followed by a qualitative and quantitative analysis of selected projects. Based on this analysis, the main technological trends are identified, including the development of autonomous systems, digital twins, Edge AI, and multi-agent robotic systems. The final part of the thesis presents a summary of the obtained findings, an analysis of robotic service operations, and a prediction of technological development towards 2030, with an emphasis on minimizing human presence in hazardous environments.
