Abstract
The bachelor thesis focuses on designing and performing a strength analysis of a crane
manipulator. It begins with a research on industrial manipulators and a detailed overview of the
original structure. The loads acting on the structure are analyzed according to relevant technical
standards. An analytical strength check of the main structural components is carried out and
subsequently verified through a numerical simulation using the Finite Element Method (FEM).
After determining that the original design does not withstand the loading, an alternative design
is proposed and then verified with a second FEM simulation. In conclusion, both designs are
compared and evaluated.
