Abstract
This Master’s thesis focuses on the structural design of an axlebridge for a low-floor tram vehicle. The introductory part presents a research overview of existing axlebridge solutions, with emphasis on structural design and manufacturing technologies. Based on defined criteria, a multi-criteria evaluation of several design variants is conducted, leading to the selection of the optimal solution. The selected variant is further elaborated in detail, with a focus on strength requirements and operational reliability. The design is verified through calculations and simulations in accordance with the relevant standards, with special attention given to the bearing arrangement using bearings of different diameters. The outcome is a structurally and computationally validated design that meets the requirements of the client and complies with applicable technical standards. The corresponding technical drawings are included in the appendix of the thesis.
