Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of service robotics designed for use in crisis situations. The aim of the work was to characterize this field in terms of the typology of robotic systems, analyze their current use in crisis management, identify the main technological limitations, and outline possible directions for further development based on professional literature. The theoretical part defines service robotics and classifies systems according to the operating environment into ground, water, and aerial platforms, while also mapping significant European initiatives and research projects. The practical part, based on a literature review in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, analyzes specific robotic systems for interventions in fires, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear incidents, search and rescue operations in debris or water environments, and for pyrotechnic protection. The final part of the thesis identifies the limits of current technologies, such as limited autonomy, energy endurance, or communication in unstructured environments, and defines future trends with a focus on artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and cooperative robotic swarms.
