This thesis deals with the optimization of automotive full LED headlamps regard to pedestrian protection. It starts with a general overview regarding the headlamps. Furthermore, explanation of organization Euro NCAP and detailed introduction to impact test of upper leg (hip) impactor to leading edge of bonnet. An integral part of this thesis is design of fixture for attachment to the test equipment and also the creation of the FEM model headlamp and follow mathematical simulation of already mentioned test. Finally follow the headlamp modifications to improve pedestrian protection and verification by new simulation.
