Abstract

This master's thesis deals with the design of a pneumatic press for gluing wood boards. The main objective was to design a device capable of generating a pressing force of 30 kN using an exclusively pneumatic drive. The introductory part provides a review of the possibilities for achieving this pressing force and evaluates various structural design variants of the press. Based on the evaluation of the variants, a description and solution of the selected variant follows, which is then supplemented by the design of the pneumatic circuit including the verification of its parameters. The thesis also includes the design of electropneumatic control, including the development of a control program for the PLC.
