Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on designing pneumatic mechanism for positioning the stopper of the induction smelting furnace. In the introductory chapter, a principle of induction heating and its usage in metallurgy are described. The following chapter explains the aim of this thesis in detail. Then an overview of the possibilities of stopping the stopper rod in any position follows. For two of these options, pneumatic circuits are proposed. From these two pneumatic circuits, a more suitable option is selected and the required system elements are selected for it. In the final part, in appendix, you can find a final design of the pneumatic circuit with the bill of materials.
