Peletizovaný biochar: Valorizace odpadu vinařského průmyslu pro energetické a zemědělské aplikace

Abstract

Bachelor thesis describes the production of biochar from grape pomace using off-grid gasification technology for polygeneration. The main objective of the thesis is to define the issues of waste materials from wine production and experimentally verify and compare the method of biochar production. The current management of waste from the wine industry appears suitable for energy applications, while plowing it into the soil has been shown to be unsuitable. This study experimentally verified the feasibility of pelletizing grape pomace; through their subsequent application in an off-grid gasification technology for polygeneration, biochar was produced concurrently with the generation of electricity and heat. The gasification process was technically and operationally stable. The resulting biochar from grape pomace exhibited similar properties to those of biochar from wood pellets. It has been experimentally confirmed that biochar derived from grap pomace is a viable alternative for both agricultural and energy applications
