Reverzní inženýrství válců motoru

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the reverse engineering of the engine cylinders from the Indian Scout 37 motorcycle of the 1920s. The research chapter introduces the Indian company and its early prototypes, including this particular engine. After summarizing its parameters, I describe various methods for reconstructing mechanical components, ranging from scanning techniques to modeling strategies, which are later applied in the practical cylinder modeling process. The study also includes a comparison of the modeled cylinders with the scan in the form of a color deviation map. To support manufacturing and computational purposes, a material analysis and its findings are presented. The thesis further explores FEA analyses of the cylinders under critical load conditions, providing key results for the evaluation of bolted joint safety and its components, as originally designed in the engine construction. The work concludes with a clear assessment and final evaluation.
