Abstract
Annotation of diploma´s thesis
HALUSKA, R. Optimalization of a Passenger CAR LED Headlamp: diploma´s thesis. Ostrava: Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Machine Parts and Mechanism, Supervisor: doc. Ing. Zdeněk Folta, Ph.D.
The aim of this work is to optimize cooling of the LED projector unit to increase the heat dissipation from the critical areas around the remote and damped functions. The design solution must take into account the existing headlamp installation and the production technology. I have divided the thesis into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes selected heat conducting materials that we can use in the automotive industry. Then the passive cooler design methodology is described and the problems that reduce the cooling efficiency of the projector unit are discussed. In the practical part, when designing the optimum radiator shape, I focus on optimizing the shape of the ribs. In the design, complementary components such as the Peltier cell and the air intake corridor are used for cooling.
Finally, I analyze the air flow and temperature analysis on the newly designed radiator shapes and the entire headlamp. The results show the comparison of the new types with the existing cooler solution as well as the entire headlamp.
